Assistant Designer (CeCe Brand)

BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names, such as Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, CeCe, 1.state and Parker.

Reports to: Senior Designer

Responsibilities:

• Support Design team to execute the organization and development of seasonal collections

• Experience working in Procreate would be great but not required
• Create flat sketches in Procreate
• Develop Design sheets in Exenta (PLM System)
• Basic knowledge of Pattern construction
• Must be fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Sourcing trims, prints and novelty fabrics with venders/in the market
• Choose matching linings
• Set up new silhouettes in prints and new fabrications in our in house sewing room or local factories to get cut and sewn
• Set up cut tickets and arrange raw materials to factories
• Hand sewing mockups/embellishments

Requirements

• 1+ year of previous design assistant experience preferred or BFA in Fashion Design
• Learns quickly and eager to learn all parts of the industry
• Great eye for merchandising, assorting fabrics/garments accordingly
• Extremely organized and efficient
• Enthusiastic and team-oriented
• Portfolio required (please link in the application question section)
• Full-time in office

The salary range for this full-time, entry-level role starts at $65,000 per year.
