Job Description


Capgemini is looking for an experienced Agile Dev Team III - ALR Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions for our clients.

The Agile Dev Team III - ALR Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced capabilities within the All Lines Rating (ALR) system. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles, along with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. The developer will design, code, test, and support ALR products while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices in software development.

This position is critical in enhancing our client's financial services platform, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to streamline processes and improve user experiences.

  • 7+ years of working experience in IBM i-Series(AS400) environment, commands & basic understand of databases & library hierarchy
  • Hands on experience in COBOL/400, SAS, SQL/400, CL
  • Excellent understanding of CL & OS/400 commands
  • Understanding and working knowledge of programming logic. Experience in Release Management.
  • Good to have knowledge on AS400 tools like DBU, SEQUEL, work query, CA2E implementor, ROBOT, Selenium automation tool etc.
  • Support any AS400 production issues or user inquires.
  • Experience with complex SQL concepts and programming - Experience with FTP concepts and automation.
  • Experience in creating, building, and maintaining different libraries in AS/400 environment
  • CL Programming skills for automation
  • Working on projects following SAFe/Agile methodology. Hands-on experience in utilizing Rally tool.
  • Hands-on experience working within an enterprise-wide data centre environment is desired
  • Any experience in Web services or Application Integration or Modernization area on AS/ 400 would be an added advantage
  • Provide technical support during testing. Assist in deployment and provide post-deployment support
  • Perform data analysis and provide ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Ability to document technical specifications from functional requirements
  • Analyse, design, develop and test the integration of POS Applications to the AS400
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging production issues
  • Demonstrates understanding of the fundamentals of automation tools and framework.
  • Interaction with client team independently.
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in Change management tools
  • Should have Insurance domain knowledge

Responsibilities

Engage in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Design, code, and test ALR solutions, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.

Perform integration and regression testing to ensure system stability and performance.

Utilize CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments and continuous improvement of software delivery.

Write technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of team members.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements

  • Experience with microservices architecture: Intermediate
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure): Intermediate
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills: Advanced
  • Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines: Intermediate
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written: Advanced

Software / Tool Skills:

  • REST services: Advanced (5+ Years)
  • SQL and database management: Intermediate (3-5 Years)
  • Version control (Git): Advanced (5+ Years)

Works Schedule: EST to Central preferred, but flexible.
