Job Description

Metro Infectious Disease Consultants , is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Providers (APP) (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) located in Macon, GA. The APP will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to patients. The APP will round at Piedmont Macon and Piedmont Macon North Hospitals.

Schedule: M-F (40 hours/week) + 1 weekend/Month

The APP shall consult with the collaborating physician in person. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.

Primary responsibilities will include:

the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems,
ordering, interpreting and performing laboratory and radiology tests,
prescribing medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated,
and performing other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated

Requirements

Certified and hold an active GA license
Must live in the state of GA
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
