Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Assistant to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will support daily accounting functions, assist with accounts payable, vendor setup, and data entry, and maintain accurate financial records. This position is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations and offers an opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable Processing: Assist in processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Vendor Management: Support vendor setup processes and assist in maintaining updated vendor records.
- Data Entry & Account Analysis: Perform data entry tasks and conduct account analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, assist team members, and maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Report Preparation: Assist with preparing financial reports to support management decisions.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve accounting processes.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of accounts payable accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial processes and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
