Job Description

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join our NYC office. The position is responsible for accounts payable functions as well as general accounting functions.

With over 138 years of experience, H&H is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm. They trust our time-tested ability to manage the entire life cycle of a project, from the study and planning phase through to design and construction. Responsibilities

Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparation of and posting journal entries
Oversee accounts payable transactions
Support the month-end close process, including the preparation of account reconciliations
Collaborate with team members for interim and year-end audit
Perform other duties and special projects as needed
Support compliance with financial, GAAP standards, and company policies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Zero to six years of relevant experience
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Self-motivated, dependable with deadlines; able to multi-task
Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint (preferred)
