As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and support our growing operations.
Position Overview
The Accountant will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial health. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation and filings.
- Work with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
- Support payroll processing and employee expense tracking.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, grocery, or food-related industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in multi-location retail accounting is a plus.
