As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and support our growing operations.

Position Overview

The Accountant will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial health. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation and filings.
  • Work with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
  • Support payroll processing and employee expense tracking.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, grocery, or food-related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in multi-location retail accounting is a plus.
