JOB TITLE: Preventive Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Performs preventative and routine maintenance of abatements equipment, per

documented procedures.

Manages the PM schedule and coordinates activities with tool owners.

Follows all safety protocol, pre and post maintenance activity

Disassembles equipment and pump exhaust lines for cleaning and decontamination.

Prepares contaminated parts and coordinates cleaning activities

Reinstalls cleaned and or new replacement parts and assemblies.

Performs system start-up and post maintenance testing.

Maintains maintenance logs and completes all required documentation.

Creates, modifies and updates excel, word and PowerPoint documents.

Ability to perform helium leak checks after performing on-site repairs and preventative maintenance

Maintains clean work areas, tools and toolboxes

Job Requirements

  • Ability to support compressed work, 3 day/4 day/week rotation, 12 hours/day.
  • 1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time and to walk long distances.
  • This position will come in contact with chemicals. The use of aprons, face shields and specialized gloves will be required. (All PPE and training provided)
  • Ability to utilize all required personal protective equipment including potential use of respirators.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening and background check
  • Minimum high school diploma required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Additional remarks regarding work environment: Chemical hazards are primarily mitigated through engineering controls, but some uncontrolled chemicals from incidental spills requiring cleanup evaluation may require use of respirator and other PPE.
  • You must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
