Job Description

We are looking for a yard jockey to help move and position equipment needed for warehouses to organize and ship materials. The main responsibilities of a yard jockey include cleaning trailers, moving equipment, and conducting daily inspections.

To be successful in this role, you should have good eyesight, be physically fit, and communicate well. It's also important to be able to work well under pressure, have good driving skills, and be responsible.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing trailers before they are loaded.
  • Moving equipment around the yard as needed.
  • Notifying management of any necessary repairs.
  • Storing equipment in safe areas.
  • Conducting regular inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Taking inventory of equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience driving tractor-trailers preferred.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good eyesight.
