Job Description

We are looking for a skilled welder helper to assist our welding team. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and making sure that all equipment and materials are well-maintained. This will involve providing welders with the necessary tools and materials, like rods and grinding discs, and helping them operate welding machines, grinders, hammers, beveling machines, torches, and magnetic drills. You should also have knowledge of different metals, such as galvanized, carbon, and stainless steel.

To be successful in this role, you should have great attention to detail to avoid costly mistakes and rework. You should also be patient, organized, and able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend safety meetings on site.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas.
  • Assist with setting up and moving welding equipment.
  • Ensure welders have all the necessary tools and materials.
  • Keep track of stock levels and order supplies when needed.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Follow instructions from welders to adjust welding machine settings.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.

  • Physically fit and able to move around easily.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Resilient to working in different weather conditions.
  • Flexible to work shifts and extended hours.
