Job Description

We are seeking a qualified VoIP network engineer to oversee the installation and management of our VoIP network. In this role, you will be in charge of designing and implementing enterprise solution architecture, coordinating installations and transitions, and managing service level agreements (SLAs) for IP telephony applications. You may also be required to troubleshoot LAN and WAN hardware systems and respond to customer inquiries.

To be successful as a VoIP network engineer, you should have advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and an understanding of internet security. A top-notch VoIP network engineer will be able to design and implement a networking system that meets our current and future needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with IT managers to determine the company's networking needs.
  • Analyze existing VoIP networks and computer systems.
  • Develop architecture plans for voice and data services.
  • Install network hardware, such as IP and PBX communication servers.
  • Design and implement Cisco Unity systems.
  • Troubleshoot VoIP network issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working as a VoIP network engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP protocols.
  • Familiarity with hardware systems, including servers, memory modules, processors, and peripherals.
  • Detailed understanding of network security systems and software.
  • Strong project management skills.
