We are looking for an organized and compassionate veterinary receptionist to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, issuing invoices, and informing the veterinarian of any urgent cases. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming office environment and providing comfort to distressed clients and their pets.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting clients with a friendly attitude
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Scheduling appointments using our software
- Informing the veterinarian of any emergency cases
- Issuing invoices for treatments and medications
- Receiving and verifying payments
- Reporting any possible cases of animal abuse or neglect
- Managing inventory and restocking items for sale
- Selling items stocked by the clinic
- Coordinating with couriers and laboratories for sample deliveries
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with veterinary medical billing software is a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
