Job Description

We are looking for a skilled vascular technologist to help our doctors diagnose vascular diseases. Your responsibilities will include gathering patient information, performing ultrasound exams, and producing high-quality images.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and previous experience in a similar position. A great candidate will be able to accurately diagnose vascular disorders using their ultrasound skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collecting patient information and medical history
  • Preparing the exam area and positioning patients on ultrasound tables
  • Explaining procedures to patients
  • Using noninvasive ultrasound techniques to diagnose blood vessel diseases
  • Adjusting equipment to produce clear images for doctors to analyze
  • Comparing current scans to previous results and interpreting diagnostic information
  • Providing doctors with a summary of ultrasound findings in a timely manner
  • Handling hazardous materials and sterilizing equipment
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Staying up-to-date with advancements in vascular technology

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in vascular technology
  • State-licensed as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience as a vascular technologist
  • Advanced knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record software
  • Strong record-keeping and summarization skills
  • Ability to stay current with best practices in vascular technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
