A utility worker is someone who cleans and maintains a company's premises and equipment. They are responsible for keeping the company's facilities in good condition, fixing broken equipment, inspecting completed projects, and following health and safety regulations set by the state.

Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking utility worker to help us with general cleaning and maintenance tasks at our company. This includes cleaning both inside and outside of the property, repairing tools, performing basic landscaping duties, and inspecting utility projects. It is also important for the utility worker to keep track of supplies and follow health and safety regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of cleaning and landscaping equipment, good hand coordination, and physical strength. A great utility worker is someone who can do a variety of tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, fixing lights, repairing equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions from managers and maintenance staff
  • Clean assigned areas inside and outside of the property
  • Perform basic landscaping tasks such as trimming trees and watering plants
  • Order and keep track of cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment
  • Do minor repairs on landscaping and maintenance equipment
  • Replace light bulbs and fixtures
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and gasoline
  • Ensure completion and approval of utility projects

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a utility worker
  • Able to understand and follow written instructions
  • Knowledge of mechanical landscaping equipment
  • Able to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • Experience working with hazardous cleaning chemicals
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electricity
  • Able to lift and move heavy equipment
