Job Description

We are looking for a kind and skilled TMS technician to provide a supportive and comfortable treatment experience for our patients. Your main responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, following treatment protocols, and assisting patients with psychiatric rating scales after sessions.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in healthcare administration and knowledge of TMS treatments. Ideal candidates will have a patient-centered approach and excellent communication skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule TMS treatment appointments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Administer TMS treatments as directed by mental healthcare professionals.
  • Properly position the electromagnetic coil for effective treatment.
  • Ensure patients are comfortable and still during sessions by providing head and neck support.
  • Explain TMS procedures and potential effects to patients and answer any questions.
  • Create a supportive and caring treatment environment.
  • Assist patients with completing psychiatric rating scales after sessions.
  • Record session notes and collaborate with certified TMS psychiatrists for patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Completion of TMS certification training.
  • Experience working with patients with anxiety and depression preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health recordkeeping software, such as AdvancedMD and NextGen.
  • Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities related to administering TMS treatments.
  • Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with mental healthcare professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide and reassure patients.
