We are looking for dedicated therapeutic support staff to help our clients. You will work with our team to create personalized treatment plans and then implement them as needed. It's important for you to be flexible and maintain a calm demeanor while working with our clients. You will also need to be aware of any environmental factors that may affect our clients and make necessary changes to support their progress.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with clients based on respect.
- Collaborate with others to create effective treatment plans.
- Adapt treatment plans as needed.
- Create a structured and supportive environment for clients.
- Help clients modify negative behaviors.
- Minimize the effects of disruptive sensory stimuli.
- Work with clients' families, teachers, and other professionals as necessary.
- Provide progress reports to stakeholders.
- Promote independence and self-sufficiency for clients and their families.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Training in psychotherapy is recommended.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is a plus.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions, be flexible, and work well with others.
- Awareness and consideration for sensory difficulties.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Availability for occasional after-hours work.
