Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Helping students develop and improve their tennis skills
- Evaluating students' abilities to identify areas for improvement
- Teaching individual and group tennis lessons
- Creating training programs based on students' age, goals, and abilities
- Finding creative ways to help beginners and younger students learn and remember the rules of the game
- Adjusting coaching methods to fit each student's learning style
- Creating a safe and productive learning environment for students
- Scheduling meetings with parents or guardians to discuss students' progress
- Attending students' matches, competitions, and tournaments as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred
- Experience working as a Tennis Coach or Instructor
- Knowledge of different coaching techniques
- CPR and first aid certifications
- Certification through the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) is a plus
- The ability to inspire and motivate students
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A passion for tennis
