We are looking for a dynamic staffing specialist to join our human resources department. In this role, you will be responsible for finding and interviewing candidates for open positions in our company. You will also help create and update our hiring policies and materials.
To be successful as a staffing specialist, you should have a good understanding of human resources regulations and be able to make smart decisions about hiring the right people for each job. You should also be a good communicator and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the entire hiring process and make sure it runs smoothly.
- Find and recruit potential employees using databases, social media, and professional networks.
- Create interview questions and screening procedures for different positions.
- Write and post job advertisements on job boards, in print, and online.
- Conduct interviews with candidates and assess their skills, experience, and suitability for a position.
- Evaluate current recruitment strategies and suggest improvements.
- Develop new strategies to improve our recruitment process.
- Help onboard new employees.
- Create reports on hiring status for management to review.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a similar field.
- At least 1 year of experience as a staffing specialist or recruitment specialist.
- Good understanding of human resources best practices and recruitment procedures.
- Experience with recruiting software, such as CareerBuilder, Ideal, and Bamboo HR.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and resume databases, like iCIMS.
- Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations.
- Ability to work well with others and build relationships.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
