Skincare specialists perform a variety of treatments, such as cleaning, exfoliating, moisturizing, waxing, and laser therapy, to help keep the skin healthy and beautiful.

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate skincare specialist to join our team and help our clients achieve their desired skin goals. As a skincare specialist, you will be responsible for providing skincare treatments, recommending products, and educating clients on how to care for their skin. This may include performing services such as waxing and laser hair removal, as well as keeping your work area clean and hygienic at all times.

To be successful as a skincare specialist, you should have a deep understanding of skincare issues and be able to educate and guide clients on ways to improve their skin. You should also stay updated on the latest skincare treatments and techniques to provide the best service possible.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the condition of clients' skin and providing appropriate treatments.
  • Performing skincare treatments, such as peels, masks, and scrubs, to remove dead or dry skin.
  • Using massage techniques to improve the health and appearance of clients' skin and promote relaxation.
  • Advising clients on healthy lifestyle habits and ways to reduce the signs of aging.
  • Recommend and educate clients on skincare products and techniques.
  • Teaching clients how to properly apply makeup.
  • Keeping detailed records of clients' skincare regimens.
  • Selling skincare products, such as cleansers, lotions, and creams, to clients.
  • Ensuring all equipment is sterilized and work areas are clean and sanitary.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a state-approved esthetician or cosmetology training program.
  • Valid state license.
  • Completion of approximately 600 working hours (varies by state) in a training program, including setting up workstations, sanitizing equipment, and performing treatments.
  • Physical stamina to withstand long hours and provide massages.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of skincare health and safety protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to adhere to appointment schedules.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and administrative tasks.
