Job Description

We are looking for someone with experience as a scrum master to guide and support our scrum teams. This role involves making sure development teams follow Agile practices and values, motivating and mentoring them to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making, and resolving team obstacles.

To be successful as a scrum master, you should have a good understanding of Agile practices and be able to effectively manage and mentor development teams. An exceptional scrum master should also have strong interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Using Agile values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow Agile values, principles, and practices
  • Managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items
  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams make improvements
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing
  • Removing obstacles and promoting collaboration within the scrum team
  • Tracking project processes, deliverables, and finances
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
  • Certified scrum master or SAFe certification preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, techniques, and frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
