Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Find important events and developments in their region.
  • Research and write about topics before sharing them on TV or online.
  • Cover and report on events that are interesting to the public.
  • Share reports live or recorded on newsworthy events using scripts.
  • Interview people who witnessed events or are involved in news stories.
  • Summarize and transcribe events for future news reports.
  • Travel to events and take care of recording equipment.
  • Work with a team of cameramen and other reporters.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, press briefings, and interviews.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and manner when reporting.

Requirements and Qualifications
