We are looking for an analytical radiologist to join our team of medical professionals. Your main role will be to use your skills and knowledge of medical imaging techniques to help diagnose and monitor medical conditions.
In order to be successful as a radiologist, you must be able to use various medical imaging technologies and accurately interpret the results to aid in the diagnostic and treatment process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients' medical histories to ensure that medical imaging procedures will not harm them
- Suggesting alternative imaging techniques, if necessary
- Informing patients about the imaging process
- Using tools such as CT scanners and MRIs
- Performing or directing radiology staff in image-guided diagnostic procedures
- Working with radiology lab technicians to ensure high-quality images
- Interpreting imaging results to make diagnoses
- Communicating and discussing results with physicians
- Writing reports of results and diagnoses
- Following medical protocols in emergency situations
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
- 3 to 7 years of internship and residency training in radiology
- Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)
- Certification by The American Board of Medical Specialties in radiology or a subspecialty
- Valid and active medical license in the state where you will practice
- Proficiency in general radiology techniques, including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound
- Strong patient management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Superb problem-solving abilities
