Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated prosthodontist to examine patients and restore missing, damaged, or discolored teeth. This role involves identifying the root cause of oral health issues, repairing dentures, and addressing facial pain and temporomandibular disorders. The prosthodontist will also educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use X-rays and dental instruments to examine patients and determine the type of dental prostheses needed.
  • Consult with patients to understand their dental concerns and medical history.
  • Take impressions of patients' jaws and teeth to determine the dimensions of the dental prostheses.
  • Send wax models of dental prostheses to the lab for fabrication.
  • Fit newly-made dental prostheses and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Perform teeth whitening procedures to treat discoloration.
  • Use bonding techniques to repair cracks, chips, and gaps in teeth.
  • Collaborate with other dental and healthcare professionals to create treatment plans for patients.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree.
  • Valid state license.
  • Certification from the American Board of Prosthodontics.
  • Prior experience as a prosthodontist.
  • Thorough knowledge of fixed and removable prosthodontics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
