We are seeking a highly skilled project accountant to support our project team. As a project accountant, you will report to the accounting supervisor and handle all project-related financial tasks. This includes reviewing budgets, preparing reports, and managing invoices. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to the accounting supervisor and other project managers as needed
  • Review project budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fees
  • Provide timely financial reports and budgets to project managers and clients
  • Prepare pre-billing reports for project managers to review
  • Create actual cost, working capital, and tax reports
  • Monitor project income and assist with collections
  • Process invoices and purchase orders
  • Ensure timely payment of consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills
  • Maintain a steady cash flow by generating and sending invoices on time
  • Update contracts according to client requirements and report any budget changes

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience as a project accountant or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in electronic accounting systems like FINSYNC and FreeAgent
  • Ability to report to the accounting supervisor and project managers
  • Advanced skills in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Excellent ability to create project budgets, financial forecasts, and tax reports
  • Extensive experience with project invoicing and billing
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting best practices
