We need an experienced pipeline engineer to create and develop various pipeline systems for our clients. In this job, you will design new pipelines, install and build pipe infrastructure, and maintain and fix existing pipelines.
To be a good pipeline engineer, you should be good at math and very precise in your work. A skilled pipeline engineer should also have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Talking with clients to understand their pipeline needs.
- Studying the site and researching to figure out pipeline specifications, placement, and pump sizes.
- Preparing and presenting technical information, such as cost estimates, pipeline layouts, and flow simulations.
- Calculating project requirements, like materials, budget, and time.
- Creating and designing digital plans, such as pipeline maps, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams.
- Managing the construction and installation process of pipeline infrastructure and systems.
- Controlling the project's workflow and budget.
- Checking that the pipelines meet all technical and safety rules by doing quality control assessments.
- Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading pipelines when needed.
- Keeping up with the latest design software, technical standards, and construction methods.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- At least four years of experience as a pipeline engineer or similar job.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software, like AutoCAD and Pipeline Studio.
- Great knowledge of PHSMA regulations.
- Experience with pipeline construction methods, such as welding, excavation, and assembly.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
