Job Description

We are currently seeking a pharmacy technician to join our team. As a pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions and managing inventory at our pharmacy. This includes dispensing both prescription and over-the-counter medication to customers, as well as verifying and recording patient information to ensure compliance with regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. You must also be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accepting and evaluating written prescriptions or refill requests from patients.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations.
  • Providing quality customer service by responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
  • Verifying the accuracy of patient information.
  • Counting and dispensing prescription medication, and labeling them accurately.
  • Performing inventory audits and ordering supplies and medication.
  • Processing patient insurance.
