Job Description
We are looking for an analytical petroleum engineer to help find and extract petroleum. This job includes finding new reservoirs, developing cost-effective extraction methods, extracting oil and gas, and finding ways to extract more from existing reservoirs.
To be successful, you should be good at math, problem-solving, and have a deep understanding of extraction techniques. You should also be willing to travel and work in challenging locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Use data to figure out the best way to extract petroleum.
- Evaluate new reservoirs and create cost-effective extraction plans.
- Design and manage equipment for extraction.
- Find the best way to drill and fracture the ground to extract petroleum.
- Make sure extraction follows safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain and improve equipment and methods for extracting petroleum.
- Oversee the closure and disposal of exhausted reservoirs.
