We are looking for a friendly and helpful personal banker to join our bank. You will work with clients to figure out what they need from their bank and offer them customized solutions.

To do this job well, you need to be good at building relationships with clients and solving any problems that come up with their accounts. Our goal is to make sure our clients are happy and satisfied with our services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Talk to clients about the different banking services and products we offer and help them choose the ones that are right for them.
  • Manage clients' bank accounts by opening and closing them and handling their transactions.
  • Suggest and sell banking services and products to both new and existing clients.
  • Refer clients to other experts or departments within the bank when they need help with things like mutual funds or trust management.
  • Prepare the paperwork to open or close accounts and make sure everything is set up correctly.
  • Process applications for things like credit cards, safe deposit boxes, and loans.
  • Confirm bank account information for clients when they need it.
  • Talk to clients about our bank's policies and procedures and explain any changes to them.
  • Help clients with any questions or complaints they have about their accounts.
  • Do some office work, like entering data, when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working as a personal banker.
  • A certification in banking from the American Institute of Banking (AIB) is a plus.
  • A good understanding of personal banking practices, rules, and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking services and products.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access), banking software, and databases.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
