Job Description
The main responsibility of a PCA is to provide domestic assistance to individuals with healthcare challenges in their own homes. This may include preparing meals, light cleaning, and helping with basic hygiene activities. It is important for a PCA to have patience and a passion for helping others, while also respecting the individual's dignity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Traveling to clients' homes
- Preparing meals for the client
- Light cleaning in the home
- Ensuring clients take their medication
- Assisting with hygiene activities such as bathing and using the bathroom
Requirements and Qualifications
- A first aid qualification (preferred)
- Your own transportation
- Housekeeping skills
- Compassion for others
- Patience for difficult clients
- Physical strength to assist clients with mobility problems
- Prior experience in home health care (preferred)
