Job Description

We are seeking a skilled orthopedic doctor to treat and repair injuries or illnesses to the musculoskeletal system. This may involve surgical procedures or non-surgical treatments. An orthopedic doctor may focus on a specific area of the body, such as the spine, or specialize in areas like pediatric orthopedics, oncology orthopedics, or sports medicine.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent attention to detail and hand dexterity. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also important, as well as compassion and empathy for patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking patients' medical histories and using specialized equipment to diagnose injuries or illnesses.
  • Performing blood tests and other diagnostic tests to identify bone conditions.
  • Creating treatment plans that may involve exercises, ultrasounds, strength training, and/or surgery.
  • Surgically repairing bones, nerves, ligaments, tendons, and joints to promote healing.
  • Treating both acute and chronic injuries and pain.
  • Prescribing medications to aid in recovery.
  • Monitoring patients' healing progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Developing rehabilitation plans for patients after surgery.
  • Supervising and assigning tasks to nurses and other medical staff.
  • Referring patients to other specialists for additional treatment or recovery plans.
  • Continuously learning and staying up to date with advancements in orthopedic medicine.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A medical degree in orthopedics and completion of a fellowship and residency program.
  • A valid license and certification to practice medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • A solid understanding of orthopedic methods and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and be on call for emergencies.
