Job Description

We are looking for a network support technician who is focused on getting results. Your main responsibilities will be to improve and secure our business's computer network. This includes analyzing the network's performance, working with our IT team to expand the network, and providing IT support.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of network infrastructure and experience in similar positions. A great network support technician is someone who can make sure business information is exchanged quickly, safely, and reliably.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the IT team to install and maintain network technology.
  • Improve the performance of the company's internal network and create internet domains.
  • Test how data is shared between computers, servers, modems, and routers.
  • Install, set up, and update network software, as well as keep hardware and network devices in good condition.
  • Fix problems and run tests, and create plans for storing, backing up, and recovering data.
  • Make sure servers can handle the amount of online traffic they get.
  • Test network protocols and make sure the server is connected securely and reliably.
  • Train new IT workers, offer technical support in person or online, and make user manuals.
  • Record how network processes work and make them more secure.
  • Stay updated on new developments in network infrastructure and technology.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco.
  • At least two years of experience as a network support technician.
  • In-depth understanding of network infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, and security.

  • Willingness to travel to clients' locations.
