Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and checking how well the network is working
  • Helping users with network problems and fixing them
  • Setting up computer hardware and software to make sure the network works well
  • Creating local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN) and other devices like Voice Over IP and VTC
  • Managing IP addresses and fixing conflicts
  • Keeping an eye on network servers and upgrading them

  • Talking with different parts of the business and training people who provide technical support

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An Associate of Science degree in computer network administration
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems would be helpful
  • 2-5 years of experience as a network analyst or similar job
  • Good knowledge of how hardware, software, and networks are set up
  • Excellent at providing support and fixing problems
  • Lots of experience with different types of network systems, like Cisco Systems and Juniper
  • Advanced understanding of network setup and security
  • Ability to keep up with changes and improvements in network technology
  • Good at writing down how things are done and keeping track of how well the network is working
  • Great communication skills
