Job Description
We are seeking a highly-skilled lube technician to maintain and service our customers' vehicles. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed service reports, replacing wiper blades and car batteries, and changing motor oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid as needed. You will also be responsible for keeping the interior of vehicles clean while performing maintenance tasks.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong mechanical skills and follow all safety procedures. Excellent communication and time management skills are also important.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Applying lubricants to engine parts to prevent premature wear and ensure optimal performance.
- Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent tire wear.
- Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust.
- Replacing filters as needed.
- Rotating tires to ensure even wear.
- Checking and adjusting tire pressure.
- Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks.
- Making recommendations for additional services based on initial inspections.
- Notifying the Service Advisor if maintenance cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed postsecondary lube technician program.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Detail-oriented.
