Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing and teaching lessons that help children learn and develop.
- Making sure there are enough supplies in the classroom.
- Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Watching over children during lessons, meals, and playtime.
- Helping children work out problems with each other.
- Keeping track of children's progress and sharing it with caregivers.
- Telling the school and caregivers about any accidents or important events.
- Attending meetings with other teachers and caregivers.
- Going on field trips with students when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a focus on teaching young children.
- A clean criminal record.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a similar role.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds.
- A valid driver's license and access to transportation (optional, but helpful).
- Basic first aid training (preferred).
