We are looking for a junior accountant who is organized and good at solving problems. They should pay close attention to details, work well under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines.
To be successful in this role, a junior accountant should be a critical thinker, good at math, and have a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles. The ideal candidate will also have excellent writing skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze financial information and create balance sheets.
- Work with management and staff to create budgets.
- Make sure the company follows all rules and regulations.
- Resolve issues with payments and receipts.
- Keep track of and organize invoices.
- Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Assist with financial audits and preparing financial records.
- Prepare tax returns and reports for the company.
- Create monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Complete end-of-month tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (required).
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate (preferred).
- At least 1 year of accounting experience (required).
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
