Job Description
We are seeking a skilled network architect to design and deploy scalable computer networks for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, designing and implementing computer networking systems, and ensuring network security. You may also be involved in creating cost analysis reports and providing training for IT staff.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have advanced knowledge of computer design software, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to manage projects effectively. A top-notch network architect should be able to create realistic and scalable computer system models that fit within a client's budget and meet their requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to discuss their system and networking needs.
- Evaluate the quality and flexibility of their current systems.
- Analyze current security protocols.
- Use computer design software to develop networking and system models.
- Create system budgets and network cost analysis sheets.
- Present computer system reports with visualizations and software models.
- Oversee the implementation of network structures and security features.
- Test the performance of upgraded or newly installed systems for performance, scalability, and security.
- Train IT staff and respond to client requests in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a network architect.
- In-depth knowledge of WAN and LAN networking systems and software.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
- Proficient in computer and networking design software such as eDraw, LanFlow, and Microsoft Visio.
- Familiar with computer hardware systems including server modules, cooling systems, memory chips, and processors.
- Excellent analytical and design skills.
- Detail-oriented with advanced project management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
