Job Description

We are looking for a skilled internal auditor to join our team. As an internal auditor, you will need to be organized and have strong problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent math skills, IT skills, and communication skills are also important for this role.

To be successful as an internal auditor, you should be a critical thinker and have a strong interest in improving an organization's internal controls. Candidates with great presentation and report writing skills, as well as good business knowledge, will be preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
  • Implement the best audit and business practices, in line with internal audit standards.
  • Manage resources and audit assignments.
  • Identify and reduce business and financial risks by implementing and monitoring controls.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures based on best practices.
  • Create and implement the annual Internal Audit plan.
  • Conduct investigations into identified or reported risks.
  • Supervise risk-based audits of operational and financial processes.
  • Report complete, accurate, and timely audit information to Management and/or Risk Committees.
  • Oversee planned annual audits.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in internal auditing, financial accounting, or financial management (required).
  • Two years of experience working in an internal audit environment.
  • Two years of experience in fraud auditing.
  • Accreditation with the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Strong accounting skills.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
