Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and certified helicopter mechanic to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our helicopters meet the standards set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This includes inspecting the helicopters, identifying and replacing any necessary parts, and troubleshooting mechanical and technological issues.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of mechanics and be familiar with the tools used for maintenance. You should also be able to work well under pressure and in different weather conditions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of all helicopters according to regulations
  • Identify potential problems and troubleshoot them
  • Perform repairs in a timely manner
  • Schedule and perform maintenance tasks, such as oil changes
  • Use appropriate tools and software to measure performance and make repairs
  • Communicate with helicopter pilots about performance during flights
  • Address any issues brought up by pilots immediately
  • Make recommendations for helicopter retirement based on maintenance, repairs, and flight times
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of maintenance

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completion of an FAA-approved training program in airframe and powerplant mechanics
  • FAA certification
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation mechanic and diagnostic tools
  • Prior experience in aviation or mechanics may be helpful
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in computer use
