Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing medical records and gathering important information for HEDIS reports
- Creating reports using electronic and paper records
- Recording findings in HEDIS databases and on cloud-based platforms
- Meeting daily goals and maintaining high accuracy in data gathering
- Conducting on-site audits to check for HEDIS compliance
- Presenting compliance reports to healthcare managers
- Training and advising healthcare staff on HEDIS standards
- Following HIPAA guidelines and reporting any critical findings
- Staying updated on HEDIS measures
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current state nursing license (RN, LPN, or LVN)
- Experience using HEDIS databases and creating reports
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and cloud platforms like Cliniko and Inovalon
- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of abstracting clinical data and evaluating HEDIS compliance
- Advanced understanding of medical terminology, coding, and procedures
- Experience interpreting and reporting HEDIS information and training staff
- Ability to stay updated on HEDIS measures and healthcare standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
