Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled hairdresser to provide a variety of hair services to clients based on their specific needs and preferences. This includes greeting and welcoming clients, keeping a clean and organized work area, and suggesting suitable hair care products. The hairdresser should also be able to identify any underlying scalp conditions and advise clients to seek medical treatment if necessary.

To excel in this role, a hairdresser should have strong attention to detail and be able to build rapport with clients. They should also be able to follow clients' requests, communicate effectively, and stay updated on the latest hairstyles and hair care techniques.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discussing with clients to understand their hair care needs, preferences, and specifications
  • Offering advice on suitable haircuts, hairstyles, and colors based on clients' physical features and hair type
  • Cutting, trimming, and shaping hair, as well as attaching wigs, hair extensions, hairpieces, and toupes according to clients' requests
  • Shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying hair
  • Providing various hair coloring treatments after checking for any sensitivities or allergies
  • Using different hairstyling tools and equipment, such as straighteners, curling irons, and hairdryers, to achieve desired styles
  • Cleaning and sterilizing all tools to meet health and safety standards
  • Operating the cash register for client payments, if needed

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in cosmetology or completion of a state-approved cosmetology program
  • Valid state license
  • Ability to stand for long periods
