We are looking for an experienced grill cook to make meals that meet the preferences of our customers. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, letting the waitstaff know when orders are ready, and cleaning the grill after each shift. You will also need to keep track of inventory to make sure we always have enough supplies.
To be a successful grill cook, you should be good at multitasking and follow food safety rules. A great grill cook will come up with new and tasty dishes to add to our menu.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Cut, slice, shred, tenderize, and skewer meat and vegetables
- Braise and grill meat and vegetables
- Ensure that ingredients are fresh and safe to eat
- Prevent cross-contamination
- Make meals according to customer preferences, if needed
- Keep track of the components of each meal to make sure it's ready on time
- Work with waitstaff to get orders finished
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Tell the manager when equipment needs maintenance, repair, or replacement
- Keep track of inventory to make sure we have enough supplies
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a cook, especially with grilling
- Willingness to keep learning and growing in your job
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Good knowledge of food safety guidelines
- Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills
- Good at working with others and communicating
