Job Description
We are looking for an advanced graduate teaching assistant to assist our senior faculty. As a graduate teaching assistant, you will help create lesson plans, create tests and handouts, and grade students' work. You will also need to ensure that grades are recorded accurately and on time.
To be successful as a graduate teaching assistant, you should have a deep understanding of the material taught in our undergraduate program. A great graduate teaching assistant will also strive to incorporate local knowledge into our curriculum.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating lecture slides, handouts, and other instructional materials.
- Teaching assigned lessons as agreed upon beforehand.
- Uploading materials to our online learning platform.
- Handling requests for exceptions, such as extensions or waived course requirements.
- Grading and returning assignments in a timely manner.
- Recording grades in our systems.
- Approving students for the final exam if they meet all requirements.
- Providing guidance to students on elective courses upon request.
Requirements and Qualifications
