Job Description

We are looking for a dependable equipment operator to join our construction team. Your responsibilities will include checking and maintaining equipment, loading and unloading it, and keeping the work site clean. You will also need to know how to distribute concrete and fill out paperwork.

To do well as an equipment operator, you must follow safety rules and be able to take directions from your superiors. Great equipment operators have good hand-eye coordination and are always thinking of ways to work more efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow company safety rules when using equipment
  • Clean, oil, and check equipment for safety regularly
  • Make sure equipment is in the right position before turning it on or off, or loading and unloading it
  • Show new team members how to use equipment safely
  • Help with other construction tasks as needed
  • Watch how concrete and other materials are distributed
  • Tell the supervisor or foreman right away if something is wrong with the equipment
  • Keep the work site clean and safe
  • Go to meetings and training to learn more about using equipment safely
  • Fix problems with equipment when needed

Requirements and Qualifications
