A driving instructor teaches students how to drive vehicles, both regular and commercial. They provide both theoretical and practical training to help students develop their driving skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a patient and enthusiastic driving instructor to help our students prepare for their driver's tests. Your main responsibilities will include planning and delivering lessons that focus on building students' theoretical and applied driving abilities. You will also communicate with students to identify areas where they may need extra help.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual students while still meeting the standards set by our driving school.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan lessons that meet the specific needs of each student
  • Teach students about the different parts of a vehicle and road regulations
  • Instruct students on practical driving skills
  • Help students build confidence in their driving abilities
  • Handle emergency situations while driving
  • Calm students who may be feeling anxious or distressed
  • Keep track of students' progress and report on it
  • Inform students when they are ready to take their driver's test
  • Report any accidents to the head of the driving school

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license for the type of vehicle you will be teaching
  • A valid driving instructor's license or certification
  • Proven experience as a driving instructor
  • A clean driving record
  • A clear criminal record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Patience and enthusiasm
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
