Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a schedule for household tasks and childcare in consultation with the family.
- Do laundry, keep the house clean and tidy, and make sure it is a safe environment.
- Plan menus and cook meals, serving them on time.
- Manage the household budget and keep track of expenses.
- Maintain household appliances and arrange for repairs or replacements when needed.
- Take care of children, plan fun activities for them, and drop them off and pick them up from school and other places.
- Welcome visitors, answer phone calls, and take messages.
- Keep track of groceries and household cleaning supplies and restock when needed.
- Care for household pets.
- Do basic gardening, recycling, and waste disposal tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- An accredited childcare qualification is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of housekeeping practices.
- Strong organizational, time management, and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to take care of children.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
