Job Description

We are looking for physically fit individuals with good attention to detail to join our team as a diesel mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues with diesel vehicles, analyzing test results, and repairing or replacing parts such as the engine, steering, transmission, brakes, and lights.

It is important for diesel mechanics to be organized and have good communication skills, as they will need to keep accurate records of the vehicles they service and interact with customers on a daily basis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic tests on vehicles
  • Analyze test results
  • Replace engine, steering, transmission, and brake components
  • Check vehicle lighting systems
  • Test drive vehicles to check performance
  • Perform routine maintenance on service trucks
  • Keep detailed records of serviced vehicles

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • ASE Diesel Certification is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong math and science skills
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technology
  • Able to lift up to 150 pounds
  • Comfortable using maintenance and repair tools
