Job Description
We are looking for a creative design drafter to join our company. Your main job will be to work with engineers and architects to make a first draft of a technical design. Using computer-aided design (CAD) software, you will figure out the size and weight limits of the design and create drawings and designs.
To be successful as a design drafter, you should be good at using design ideas to make technical drawings that show the engineer's or architect's vision. An excellent design drafter should have great skills with CAD software and pay close attention to detail.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Find out what materials are needed for the design.
- Calculate the size, weight, and measurements of the design.
- Use CAD software to make drawings and designs.
- Create diagrams and layouts that show how the design will work.
- Work with the design team to check the drawings and designs.
- Make changes to the drawings based on feedback from engineers or architects.

Requirements and Qualifications
- A college degree in engineering, architecture, design, or something similar.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a design drafter or a similar job.
- Know how to use CAD software, drawing programs, and 3D modeling tools, like SmartDraw and SketchUp.
- Really good at understanding architectural and engineering design ideas.
- Good at math and thinking carefully about things.
- Can work fast when there are deadlines and can handle a busy workplace.
- Good at talking with others and sharing your ideas.
