Job Description

We are looking for a talented dental laboratory technician to create high-quality dental prostheses and devices for our patients. Your responsibilities will include fulfilling orders from dentists, making wax replicas from dental impressions, and constructing durable and aesthetically pleasing dental replacements.

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of dental technologies and previous experience in a dental laboratory. A top-notch dental laboratory technician will be able to create functional and safe dental replacements that also look natural and attractive.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants to replace or restore natural teeth.
  • Create dental prostheses for implantology and maxillo-facial reconstructions.
  • Receive dental impressions from dentists and follow their instructions.
  • Use mold materials to encase wax replicas of dental impressions.
  • Construct dental prostheses and devices using materials like plastic, metal, or ceramic.
  • Polish and finish dental prostheses and devices before they are placed by dentists.
  • Make necessary adjustments to dental replacements before final placement.
  • Maintain supply inventories, perform equipment maintenance, and facilitate repairs.
  • Follow industry regulations and safety standards, and document processes.
  • Stay updated on new developments in dental laboratory technologies and techniques.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completed accredited dental laboratory technology program.
  • Certification as a Dental Technician (CDT) is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a dental laboratory technician.
  • In-depth knowledge of dental prostheses, devices, and related technologies.
  • Experience in constructing, repairing, and restoring dental devices.
  • Proficiency in dental laboratory computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and precision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
