Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented dental biller to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include creating and sending invoices, as well as submitting insurance claims for dental procedures. You will also communicate with insurance companies to clarify patients' coverage and resolve any issues with rejected claims.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of the medical billing process and be able to handle stressful situations with composure.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and send invoices for patients paying privately.
- Work with dental staff and patients to create payment plans.
- Process payments for dental services.
- Submit claims to insurance companies for payment.
- Communicate with patients about any co-payments or gaps in insurance coverage.
- Work with insurance companies to determine patients' benefits.
- Investigate rejected claims and take corrective action.
- Update patient information and insurance details as needed.
- Keep patient information confidential.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a medical biller, preferably in a dental practice.
- Familiarity with CDT and ICD codes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays if needed.
