We are looking for a skilled cosmetology instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for adapting the course curriculum, teaching students various cosmetology skills, setting and grading tests, and mentoring students. Your goal will be to prepare students for successful careers in the beauty industry.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Adapt the course curriculum to meet the needs of students.
- Create lesson plans for each course.
- Order necessary supplies for the courses.
- Teach students the skills of the beauty trade.
- Create written and practical tests for students.
- Grade tests and provide feedback to students.
- Mentor students and offer emotional support.
- Oversee examinations and final practical tests.
- Provide feedback on the course to the college or technical school.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Certification from the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology.
- Previous experience as a cosmetology instructor.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a cosmetologist.
- Experience with teaching is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
