Job Description

We are looking for a construction superintendent who is good at meeting deadlines. This person will supervise our construction project and communicate with all parties involved. The construction superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and make sure everything runs smoothly. They will also be responsible for maintaining safety standards and keeping the site clean. The construction superintendent will also make sure that all materials and equipment are available on-site and will work with inspection authorities for approvals.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to finish projects on time and within budget without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, proactive, and able to handle pressure well.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the on-site construction team
  • Coordinate and oversee all work on site
  • Attend production meetings
  • Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, and make sure they are followed
  • Ensure quality standards are met
  • Order materials and be responsible for equipment and materials on site
  • Follow the project timeline to meet deadlines
  • Monitor and maintain on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
  • Keep records for site personnel, such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs
  • Liaise with inspection authorities for approvals

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent
  • Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
  • Proficient in scheduling software, CAE and CAD applications
  • Able to take and upload digital photographs
  • Capable of lifting 40 pounds and operating heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and other documents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
